Utes Cruise To Victory Over Waves

MALIBU, Calif. (AP) - Nick Jacobson scored 19 points, including 14 in the second half, as Utah beat Pepperdine 77-61 on Friday.
Tim Frost scored 13 for the Utes (6-3) while Marc Jackson and Cameron Koford added 10 apiece.
Alex Acker led Pepperdine (5-4) with 15 points while Jimmy Miggins added 12.
Pepperdine trailed 44-30 with 19:40 remaining before going on a 13-2 run to get to within 46-43, but would get no closer. The Utes countered with a 23-14 run to take a 69-57 lead with 2:20 remaining to put the game away.
Pepperdine held an 18-13 lead with 12:53 left in the first half before Utah went on a 9-0 run to take a 22-18 lead as the Waves went scoreless for six minutes. The Utes continued their run, taking a 41-30 lead into half time.
