The Cougars out-rebounded the Utes, 39-30.
"Its a one point game and we take an open look three and don't hit it and then they (BYU) come down and make a three," said Head Coach Elaine Elliott. "We played hard and we played tough, we just couldn't pull out this win. We did a better job defensively in the second half, but you also have to score and we've struggled with that this season down the stretch. Our kids won't quit, they will continue to move forward and go down to the tournament and make something happen."
