COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- The Mountain West Conference has announced its 2002 all-conference swimming and diving team and 15 Utes were cited. Utah had five individuals garner first-team honors and 10 individuals earned second-team honors.
Jonathan Hanna (1650 free), Tessa Greegor (100 breast), Kristen Kaiser (400 IM), Neringa Statkeviciute (50 free, 100 free, 200 free), and Loren Sweny (500 free) were first-team selections for the Utes. The women's 800 free relay team also was named first-team all-conference. The team consists of Statkeviciute, Sweny, Courtney McKinney and Kaiser.
Overall, Brigham Young led the men's selection with 14 first-team members, followed by UNLV (12), Air Force (5), Wyoming (4) and Utah (1). Colorado State led the women's list with eight first-team selections. BYU and UNLV each had seven honorees, Utah earned five first-team selections, New Mexico had three, Air Force earned two and San Diego State had one.
