COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Utah outdoor track and field heptathlon athletes competed at the Mountain West Conference Championships on Wed., May 15. Ute athletes completed first day of competition taking second, third and seventh place overall. Kristy Slade currently sits in second place (3041 points) after a strong second-place showing (14.80) in the 100-meter hurdles. Erianne Allen resides in third place (3023 points) with an impressive first-place finish (12.03m) in the shot put. Noelle Pikus finished the day in seventh place (2699 points) with a second-place finish (1.64m) in the high jump. Competition for the heptathlon will end on Thur., May 16.
