The University of Utah men's and women's swimming and diving teams were recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America and by the U. for academic achievements for spring semester. The women's team boasted a combined GPA of 3.08 and were awarded the rating of excellent by the CSCAA. The men posted a 2.85 team GPA to earn a commendable rating.
Making the U.'s spring semester academic honor roll with a 3.0 GPA or better for the women's team were seniors Melissa Chamberlin, Rebecca Gerber, Courtney McKinney and Amber Nye, along with junior Kim Lewis, sophomore Kristen Kaiser and freshmen Renee Dyer, Phoenix Fribourg, Tessa Greeegor, Katie Hathaway, Rachel Rudd and Loren Sweny. Chamberlin, Gerber and Rudd received further distinction by making the Dean's List with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Named to the Dean's List from the men's team was freshman Jorge Amorim with a 4.0 GPA. Making the honor roll were seniors Brandon Durrant and Stephen Linge, along with sophomores Magnus Lofgren and Ben Novak, and freshmen Jorge Amorim, Jacob Burton and Cody Rempfer.
