This Week: The University of Utah women's tennis team will kick off its fall season with two tournaments. Half the team will travel to Provo, Utah, for the BYU Invitational. In addition to BYU, the Utes will face opponents from Colorado State, Utah State, Boise State and Weber State. The tournament takes place Thursday-Saturday. The rest of the team will travel to Ogden, Utah, for the Weber State Invitational. This tournament will feature players from Weber State, Idaho State and Nevada.
Utes To Watch: Junior Cassie Kasteler will go into the BYU Invitational as the third seed in the singles draw. She will be paired with freshman Joanna Zyndzo for the first time as a doubles team. Dorny looks for the pair to make a impact in the doubles draw this weekend.
Quoting Head Coach Megan Dorny: "I'm looking forward to watching the team compete this weekend. Each player has been working extremely hard both on the court and in the strength room, and I feel they are prepared for this season opener."
Coming Up: The Utes head to Boise, Idaho, for the Boise Invitational, Oct. 11-13.
