Slade Finishes Fifth In Heptathlon At Conference Championships

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.--Utah senior Kristy Slade wrapped up fifth place in the heptathlon on Friday, May 15, at the Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships. Slade totaled 4,953 points, highlighted by a third-place finish in the javelin throw (32.62m).

Slade's finish leaves Utah in fourth place heading into Friday and Saturday's competitions. San Diego State leads the women's side with 21 points after grabbing first, second and seventh in the heptathlon.
