SALT LAKE CITY - Graham Harrison, who has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Utah next season, was selected by the Oakland As in the 19th round of the Major League Baseball draft.
A 6-2 catcher from Tulare Union High School in Tulare, Calif., Harrison was the 2002 East Yosemite League MVP and was a first-team all-area selection. He was the runner-up for player of the year and was also named second-team all-valley.
