Utah junior Marta Stepanczuk has been named Mountain West Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the first time in her career after leading the Utes to conference dual meet wins over New Mexico and Colorado State last weekend.

Stepanczuk, a Bialytok, Poland, native, brought home four individual victories and a relay win on the weekend. Against the Lobos she had individual wins in the 1000 freestyle (10:23.32) and 500 freestyle (5:04.87), and helped the 400 freestyle relay squad clock in a time of 3:41.68 for a team win. The next day against CSU, Stepanczuk collected two more wins in the 500 and 1000 free, turning in times of 5:03.56 and 10:22.94, respectively, and helping the Utes snap Colorado State's eight MWC match win streak.
