Anchorage, Alaska (AP) - Andrew Bogut scored a game-high 19 points as Utah defeated Furman 62-50 in the Great Alaska Shootout on Saturday.
Bogut was 6-for-10 from the floor and 7-for-9 from the free-throw line, with the Utes (3-1) relying on their inside muscle and foul-line shooting to take fourth place in the tournament.
The Paladins (2-3) and Utes exchanged leads seven times and tied three times in the second half.
Richard Chaney hit a jump shot with 8:08 to give Utah a 46-45 lead, which sparked a 18-5 run that carried Utah to the end.
The Utes made 10 free throws in the final three minutes to seal the win.
Justin Hawkins and Bryant Markson had 12 points each and Richard Chaney added 10 for Utah. Markson also led the game with eight rebounds.
Quan Prowell led the scoring for Furman with 17 points.
Utah shot 22-for-41 from the floor, but were just 1-for-7 from behind the 3-point line. The Utes were 17-for-22 from the free-throw line.
Furman was 20-for-53 from the floor and only made it to the foul line four times, making three. The Paladins made 7-of-21 from the 3-point line.
The game was tied 24-24 at halftime.
