Quoting Head Coach Ray Giacoletti
"That was the best 40-minutes we have played all season. We tried to plug holes and gaps and I think a lot of guys stepped up tonight. Markson's eight rebounds were big for us. The one thing this team does a really good job of is adjusting and transitioning."
"Tim knocking down those threes was huge for us tonight. That improved everyone's confidence and it took a lot of pressure off Bogut. You look like a pretty good coach when you have a player like Andrew Bogut on the team. Jonas also had his biggest game."
"I have never played so much zone-defense in my career, but we tried to play to our strengths. We felt like we needed to be more productive offensively, so that was the biggest reason for the change in the starting lineup."
"Colorado is a good team. They beat some good teams, including Cal. We really needed this win knowing how bad we performed on Tuesday night."
"The crowd was great tonight. This was the most energy that we have seen all season in the Huntsman Center."
Colorado Head Coach Ricardo Patton
"Well, I just think we didn't make shots and they stayed in the zone. I think that if we had been able to make shots, we could have played more against a man-to-man defense. It's just that none of our guys that typically shoot the ball well didn't make any shots, and the zone pushed us out and they played extremely well. They made 14 free throws in the first half and we didn't have any attempts so that is a 14-point lead in itself."
