SALT LAKE CITY - Former Ute cross country skier and 2003 Rhodes Scholar honoree Gretchen Domek is having an exceptional summer this year. The St. Cloud, Minn., native competed in two seasons for Utah and is currently attending Oxford college. Click on the link below to read about her exciting summer experience.
"It's great to hear from our former Utes!" said Head Coach Kevin Sweeney. "It's just wonderful to see and hear about the great experiences they are having. I'm proud that Utah was able to be a wonderful stepping stone and nourish great friendships."
While at Utah, Domek was a member of the Intermountain Junior National team in 1999 and the Midwest Junior National team in 1998. She also trained with Russian gold medalist Nikolai Anikin and the Gitchi Gummi Sports Association for five years.
