Utah Head Coach Ray Giacoletti
"I'm really proud of our guys tonight. We did a great job controlling the things we could control. We controlled our defense, bodying up and talking, which made the game a lot easier."
"It would be great if we could play this good every night. We did an excellent job defensively, and if you can defend UNLV you can defend anybody. The guys did a good job adjusting defensively."
"They doubled and tripled Bogut all night, but we were able to hit some threes, which opened up the game. Marc (Jackson) hit some big threes and we need Jonas (Langvad) to continue to shoot. Both those guys are great shooters."
"This was a very important win. The guys are starting to buy into everything and we are coming together. We are doing a good job of getting the ball to Bogut and revolving around him."
"Markson has been the difference this season. He has given us great energy and he is a very versatile defender. He takes great pride in his defense and the team feeds off of him."
UNLV Head Coach Lon Kruger
"They won all the battles tonight. They're a good basketball team, and they played like it. Andrew Bogut is a good player and he's going create a situation defensively where you have to cheat a little bit and other players will get better looks. He was big part of what went wrong tonight, but all the little battles played a bigger role.
Rebounding and loose balls really killed us tonight. We have to be aware that when we're doubling someone, you're going to have three players covering four. You have to be aware away from the ball."
