Utah Head Coach Ray Giacoletti
"I thought Richard (Chaney) did really good. He stepped up and got some free throws. He's aggressive. As long as he was aggressive, we told him he could play great defense."
Utah Center/Forward Andrew Bogut
"It was pretty easy to score in the first half. My teammates got me the ball when I was open. I got in the position and used it."
"In the second half they started half-court trapping and it really took us out of the game for awhile just because we had trouble getting the ball up to the three-point line and over. We had to just pick our spots in the second half."
(On Utah being the new favorite to win the MWC by the media) "These are the same people that said UNLV would win the Mountain West Conference. I hope they're right this time about Utah. We're just going to keep going. We can't really think about what the media says. We will take it one day at a time and beat Air Force."
Utah Forward Richard Chaney
"I am in great shape. I obviously ran a lot. I worked myself out condition wise. I know my coordination is off. As time goes on, I will get that back. I am surprised at my wind."
New Mexico Head Coach Ritchie McKay
"For the first few games we have been out of our system, so we need to get some more reps. We didn't execute like we should have. We didn't hit our free throws and we didn't do a good job on the help side with Bogut. We didn't put enough pressure on Bogut and as a result he had a great offensive game."
