Utah Head Coach Ray Giacoletti
"We needed to play somebody. There were definite improvements from the first half to the second half defensively, and that's all were worried about right now. Offensively we will get better as it goes along."
"We had a lot of guys that haven't played a game in a long time. It takes a little bit of time, it's a little different with the lights on. Bryant (Markson) does all the little things. That's who he is, that's the way he played tonight."
"We're trying to do things that will prepare us for later in the season, especially defensively."
Utah Forward Bryant Markson
"I think it was pretty good. I think there was a lot of nervous energy out there from the young guys, but in the second half we calmed down and came out and played well. They got 10 offensive rebounds, so I think that we need to block out a little bit more and go to the basket a little bit more and look inside. We took a lot of jump shots early in the first half, but in the second half we calmed down. You have to get to the basket."
