- Arizona's win was its second in a row over Utah. The Wildcats swept the home-and-home series with the Utes, also winning 67-62 on Dec. 11, 2004 in Tucson, Ariz. Utah still leads the all-time series 28-20 and has a 19-6 mark against Arizona in Salt Lake City. The Wildcats also recorded a victory in their previous game against the Utes in the Huntsman Center, winning 88-81 on Dec. 9, 1993.
- Utah's home court winning streak ended at 21 consecutive games. It was the fifth-longest winning streak in NCAA Division I. Utah's last home loss was to Air Force on Feb. 21, 2004. The Utes fall to 4-1 at home this season.
- Utah had also won 37 consecutive nonconference games in the Huntsman Center, last falling to Utah State (78-65) on Nov. 23, 2001. That streak ranked tied with Duke for the third-longest streak in the nation.
- The Utes fell to 5-2 against Associated Press Top 25 teams in the Huntsman Center in the last 10 seasons. After winning five games in a row, Utah's last loss to an AP Top 25 team at home was to Wake Forest (70-59) on Dec. 31, 1996.
- Bryant Markson has scored in double figures in all eight games this season and 14 of the last 15 games dating back to last season.
- The Utes had a season-high 24 turnovers. The previous high mark was 18 against Southern Utah on Dec. 10.
