THIS WEEK:
The University of Utah men's and women's swimming and diving teams take on in-state rival Brigham Young University Friday, Feb. 4, at Ute Natatorium. The meet kicks off at 6 p.m. MST.
The men's team moved to second place in the conference standings, improving to 3-2 overall, 2-1 in the MWC, after wins against Wyoming and Air Force over the weekend. With a win over No. 19 BYU, the men can win a share of the MWC regular season title for the first time since 1995.
The women's team improved to 8-0 on the season and 6-0 in conference dual meets after beating Wyoming and Air Force over the weekend. The women's team looks to finish the season undefeated and claim its first outright conference regular-season title for the first time in the history of the program with a win over the Cougars. However, with a loss, the women would fall into a three-way tie for first with UNLV and BYU.
