Colorado Springs, Colo. - The University of Utah women's tennis team was shut out by No. 41 New Mexico today on the road.
The New Mexico Lobos took all of the doubles matches and fiveof the six singles matches in straight set. At No. 2, Liz Ferris battled back after losing the first set but ultimately fell to Maya Kovacek (1-6, 6-2, 6-3).
With the loss, the Utes fall to 2-2 in the Mountain West Conference. Tomorrow Utah wraps up the weekend against Air Force.
