Utah Head Coach Ray Giacoletti
"It comes back down to doing your job and boxing out and I'd rather take an offensive foul than an offensive put-back. Our effort was solid and again. There come some points with where we're at and there are little measuring sticks. One is a consistent effort--our turnover count is where it needs to be at 13--but now you have to go back and fix the rebounding situation. It's one of those critical areas that we just didn't prove tonight. If we are able to rebound the basketball, we win the game tonight."
San Diego State Head Coach Steve Fisher
"This was the best chance we have had to beat this team and we did that tonight. Utah played extremely hard, but I was very proud of our guys. Marcus (Slaughter) was great in the first-half, but got into foul trouble and that really hurt us. (Mohamed) Camara was absolutely huge tonight on defense and rebounding the ball."
"We always put up keys to success before the game and tonight I put up `expect success.' They needed to visualize winning the game by focusing on defense and knowing the offense will come. I thought we did a good job of that tonight."
