SALT LAKE CITY -- University of Utah head track and field coach Kyle Kepler has announced the signing of thrower Josefin Berg to a national letter-of-intent.
"We are excited to have someone like Josefin join the Utah track and field team," said Kepler. "We have always had a strong throws program here at Utah and we are confident that someone like Josefin will only add to the success it has already enjoyed."
Berg hails from Östhammar, Sweden, where she competed for the Östhammar FI track club. She is currently studying physical education at a college located in Karlstad, Sweden.
"She has lots of potential as a thrower and she is a good student," said Utah's throwing coach Tapio Kuusela. "She has a great personality and I think she is going to be a good representative of our program on and off the field."
