Utah Head Coach Ray Giacoletti
"I was pleased with our young guys. It was great that they all got so many minutes. There were six freshmen out there and I think after just 18 practices they did a great job. It's going to be really fun to watch these young players grow."
"Daniel (Deane) brings great energy. For a young guy to come in on his first night and get 10 rebounds is pretty impressive. He does all the little things and he's got a motor that runs. I was really happy for Misha (Radojevic), after hanging in there for 14 months and not playing."
"We need to get back to practice and work on defensive transition, namely guarding the basketball. We need to get out and pressure teams all 94 feet."
Utah Guard Johnnie Bryant
"I've put in a lot of extra shooting the past couple of weeks. I've been able to get in the gym a lot. I knocked down a couple and kept going."
"It was a great turnout. You never know what to expect with so many new guys. I think our practices have been really intense, and I think we were really ready to come out and play another team instead of beating up on each other."
"It was a great night. But you never play a perfect game, so we can still work on a couple things, get better, and get ready for Monday."
"We need to work on our transition defense and taking care of the ball."
Utah Forward Kim Tillie
"My first game was pretty fun. I enjoyed playing tonight. I need to work on some things like ball handling and shot selection, but overall I think I played well."
"It was fun having my family here for my first game. They have to leave tomorrow (for France) and I wish they could stay longer. They had a great time in Utah and really like the place."
"We reached our goals we set before the game. Defensively we gave up only 53 points. We had a few too many turnovers, but corrected that in the second half. We were also able to get to the free-throw line."
"I like the way we play the game here at Utah."
