Morgan Warburton on Heading Into the Regular Season
"Utah is the same every year ... the same basketball. I know I have to take that leadership role, along with the seniors, and hopefully I can do a good job. The new freshmen have really impressed me. I feel like they can come into big-time games, feel the pressure and also play well."
Utah head coach Elaine Elliott
On Morgan Warburton
"Morgan is a more mature kid this year. She is still a young player so we want to be patient. She does a lot more good things than not right now, and pretty soon she is going to do mostly good things. That will take time too, though."
On Hennasea Tokumura
"We've only seen the (new) kids for really six weeks. To get some game time and see how someone will respond as a freshman is nice. She has a nice presence about her and a good confidence."
On heading into the regular season
"I like our energy and our depth. I think we'll be playing more kids this season. I like our enthusiasm and the effort. When you have those things then, as a coach, you believe that at least you can build. You can pull the things you want out of them that you want to, and they are willing. This is a nice group."
On Friday's season opener
"Coaches never feel ready. I'd just assume practice the next four months. But we are ready to play. The kids are excited and we'll know more about ourselves each time we practice and each time we play."
