Utah Head Coach Elaine Elliott
On the difference in the game: "We felt like we could drive them. We played to the rim a lot and even more in the second half. We would have liked to go to the line more, but we had enough opportunities. Transition allowed them to get back into the game. We didn't get back defensively and they really got to the rim during that stretch. Up until that point they weren't scoring because they weren't making shots, but the transition game gave them the opportunity to score at the rim."
Utah Senior Kim Smith
On watching the end of her last home game from the bench: "I would say that it is tough to finish out a great career here like this. It was ncredibly frustrating for me to watch the game from the bench, even when you have all of the faith in the world in your teammates. You just want to be out there. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time for that (fifth) foul."
Utah Senior Shona Thorburn
On the last 10 seconds: "We played tough all night. I am proud how we gutted it out. But we didn't play very well. After Kim got out, we just said that we have to dig down and play hard on both ends. Those last seconds felt like the longest 10 seconds of our lives, because they were dribbling the ball up and down the court. I think we played good defense (on the last possession), but when the ball got bobbled, it got bobbled into the wrong hands."
Utah Senior Julie Larsen
On TCU's comeback win: "We got off to a really good start and things were rolling for us, but all of a sudden shots weren't falling and we had some mishaps on defense. They (TCU) just kept climbing back in and didn't give up. It is pure luck when it comes down to the end like that. The ball just kind of bounced back into that girls hands -- it just kept getting tipped and tipped, and then just landed right in her hands."
TCU Head Coach Jeff Mittie
On TCU's comeback win: "The last time we were in here, they went 15 of 21 from the three, so it was a reminder. It was almost like de ja vu, like we were watching it again. But it was different tonight. I felt like offensively we got better as the game wore on, and I felt like we were getting good shots towards the end of the first half. It was critical for us was to get it back to a manageable number at halftime."
