- Utah's lead in the all-time series with Air Force improved to 43-11. The Falcons had won two in a row over the Utes after sweeping the 2005-06 season series. Utah improves to 25-3 against Air Force in Salt Lake City.
- Air Force is ranked 13th in this week's Associated Press poll. The Runnin' Utes' last win over a team ranked in the AP poll was over No. 17 Oklahoma (67-58) on March 19, 2005 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
