- Utah and TCU met for the 10th time tonight with the Horned Frogs cutting the series lead to 7-3 in favor of the the Runnin' Utes. The Utes are now 5-2 against the Horned Frogs in Salt Lake City. Utah's only other loss to TCU at home was 71-66 on Dec. 13, 1958.
- Sophomore center Luke Nevill had his sixth double-double of the season and the 10 of his career.
- Luke Nevill had his third consecutive double-figure scoring game and his 14th of the season.
- Sophomore forward Shaun Green had his 12th double-figure scoring game of the season and his second consecutive.
- Junior guard Johnnie Bryant had his fifth 20-point game of the season and the ninth of his career. It was his second in a row and third in the last five games. Bryant also had his13th double-figure scoring game of the season.
- TCU is the 12th team to shoot at least 40 percent from 3-point range against the Runnin' Utes this season. Utah is 2-10 in those games.
