Utah Diving to Compete at NCAA Regionals

The University of Utah diving team will be traveling to the NCAA Zone E Diving Regional in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Mar. 1-3. Utah qualified three divers for the regional qualifier which will be held at the Aquatic Center at Oklahoma City Community College. The site is the same pool as the team competed in for the Mountain West Conference Championships last weekend.
Ute, Kelsey Patterson will try to qualify for the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive season. Patterson is fresh off being named the 2007 MWC Championships Women's Diver of the Meet. She won the three-meter and platform diving at the MWC Championships. Patterson was also named MWC Diver of the week on Jan. 17, 2007.
On the men's side, Utah divers, Andrew Jones and Damien Brown will be competing. Both divers participated in the regional qualifier last season. Jones has been named MWC Men's Diver of the Week three times this season.
The regional will feature one men's and one women's event each of the three days and include the one-meter and three-meter springboard diving events and the platform dive.
