SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's tennis team finished their weekend competition schedule on Saturday against No. 66 Boise State. The Utes fell 1-6 to the Broncos at home.

The Utes were undefeated in doubles play until Saturday evening when they faced the Broncos. Boise State took the doubles point after sweeping past Utah in doubles play. Tiffany Coll and Binace Jochimsen from the Broncos took the No. 3 slot over Cinthia Saucedo and Jessica Carter 8-1. Emily Kwok and Cheyenne Reveche gave Polina Kokoulina and Klaudia Wlodarczyk a run at the No. 2 slot. The duos went point for point, but the Broncos still managed to pull ahead to get the win 8-6.

The Utes had a rough day in singles play at Eccles Tennis Center on Saturday. The Utes pulled out a win by No. 67 Elizabeth Ferris. The Ute led the squad at the No. 1 slot facing Jochimsen from Boise State. The Ute played a powerful match against the Bronco to pull out a 6-3, 6-0 win for Utah.

Freshman Karine Bourdages played a great match on Saturday against Coll from Boise State. The Bronco took the first set 6-3, but Bourdages answered right back with a tough 6-2 win in the second set. The grueling tie breaker ended with a tough loss for the Ute. Coll took the set 6-3, 2-6, 10-8 at the No. 6 slot for the Broncos. The overall match ended in a 6-1 victory for the Broncos over Utah.
