Quoting Head Coach Kyle Kepler: "This is is a big weekend for our team. It marks the ending of the regular meet season and begins our preparations for the conference championships. The Drake Relays is one of the most well-known meets in the entire country. Many of the women in our group going to Drake competed last year and that experience should help them have more success this time around. The BYU Robison Invitational is also a real high quality meet. The group representing us at that meet will be looking for continued improvement in their event areas."
Kepler ends with, "We're going to get some of the best competition we have had all year at these two meets so our kids need to be ready to step up and compete. These meets are more about handling the mental stress than anything else. Physically they are ready to perform, but mentally they have to rely on what they know and do best. They have to trust themselves and know they will perform well."
Next Week: The Utes will have one last meet before the Mountain West Conference Championship. They will participate in the Wildcat Tune-Up hosted by Weber State in Ogden, Utah, on May 2nd.
