INDIANAPOLIS -- University of Utah hurdler Amanda Feigt competed in the semifinals of the US National Championships here this afternoon, clocking the event in 1:00.54.
"It's been a long college season," said Utah track and field head coach Kyle Kepler. "About seventy-five percent of the collegiate athletes didn't run as well as they typically do. But, this was a great experience for Amanda. She overcame a lot of issues and mentally battled through the event the last two days. It was a better race for her today than yesterday. She ran her own race and was in control the whole way.
"It was great to see two athletes from our program qualify for these meets. It shows that we are heading the right direction."
Feigt did not qualify finals. Feigt wasn't alone in Indianapolis as Ute teammate Alyssa Abbot ran in the 800m at the US Junior National Championships on Thursday.
