Utah Head Coach Jim Boylen
"I give my team credit for perseverance, resiliency, and toughness. I've said it all along, we are getting tougher and better."
"We beat a good team today. TCU is a very good. They are physical and quick, I have to give them credit. My team hung in there with 23 assists on 26 baskets. We played good defense and moved the ball."
"It's one win, but today was a day where I think our program grew. There will be other tough days and other adversities to get through. But to lose three games the way we did and come back and be ready to play - and play our butts off and compete and share the ball - I've never been prouder of a team in my life. It's a big win for us and our program."
"My goal is for Johnnie [Bryant] to leave here a winner this year, and that's what we're going to work to do. He's a winning guy, a winning student and I want him to be a winning player."
On addressing the crowd after the game:
"I wanted the crowd to know that I love the way that they support us. I've had probably 50 e-mails in three days saying `We love your team. We love what you're doing. We're disappointed that you're not winning, but we know it's coming. We love how you coach the guys.' That means a lot. This is a re-building process. When you go through a week like what we went through, and for our fans to come in on a Saturday afternoon when its sunny out and they could be doing something else, I appreciate it. It's their program, not mine; I'm just the caretaker of it, hopefully for a long time."
Utah Senior Guard Johnnie Bryant
"It's great to get the (3-pointers in a game) record, but I give credit to my teammates. They do a great job finding me. Coach puts a lot of pressure on me every day in practice to make open shots and it paid off tonight. I wouldn't have gotten half of those shots if it wasn't for my teammates and I wouldn't have gotten half of them if Luke (Nevill) didn't get the attention he did in the post."
TCU Head Coach Neil Dougherty
"I thought Utah played really well. They decided well, and when they do that and make their shots, it's fun for them."
"Nevill's presence down low, when they shoot it well around him, it's like `pick your poison.'"
"They made it really tough on us in how we could defend them by making shots. You gotta give them credit for doing that."
