Utah Head Coach Jim Boylen
"I have got to give Wyoming credit. They came in and made their free throws, made enough plays to win. We can't have the shooting we had at home and hold a team to 38.6 on our home floor and we don't win. It's disappointing."
"I thought where Jones hurt us was in transition. We just couldn't get back in front of them and it hurt us. They shot a lot of free throws in their transition offense, which shouldn't happen."
"We've got to shoot the ball well to be good."
"That was their game plan, to make us beat them inside."
"We worked a lot on transition defense and containing the ball and in controlling it. But they had more energy than we had. They have good guards. They were aggressive."
"I still say we are a defensive team. Our defense kept us in it. I think in past games and years, if we didn't shoot the ball well, it would be a blowout game. I have to give my guys credit for making it a game."
"We played behind in the posts in the beginning and I didn't like that. They kind of played free for a while. It was tough."
"Our guys are trying. We are going to keep working at it. This team has to get better and grow in the long run from wins and losses."
"I think they (Wyoming) are getting better. They are finding out who they are and they are defending better. They are growing as a group and learning together. You've got to give them credit for that."
Wyoming Head Coach Heath Schroyer
"They're [Utah] a good team. Jim does a great job. I am just happy for our guys. They've been through a lot; we've been through a lot. There have been a lot of people all over them and the program. But I've said it before, we're just going to stay the course and do things the right way. Eventually if you do that, things happen. We were fortunate for coming out on top."
"We were out there with a freshman and a sophomore in the post. We tried to be there on the catch. One big thing is we shot the ball well from the free-throw line, going 20-of-23. If you want to win games in conference, you have to do that."
