SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -Lawrence Borha made a baseline jumper with 11 seconds left to lift Utah to a 69-68 victory over New Mexico on Saturday.
Borha scored 15 points to lead the Utes (14-7, 5-2 Mountain West), while Luke Nevill and Luka Drca each added 11.
It was the sixth straight game between the longtime rivals decided by fewer than three points or in overtime.
The Lobos (13-9, 4-3) called timeout to set up a potential game-winning play after Borha's basket, but Ramon Martinez lost control of the ball and teammate Chad Toppert threw up an airball after a scramble.
Daniel Faris scored 18 points to lead the Lobos, who failed in their bid to win back-to-back games at Utah for the first time since 1972-73.
New Mexico shot 54 percent and held Utah to 40.1 percent, but failed to score after taking a 68-65 lead with 2:56 remaining.
