Head Coach Elaine Elliott
"It was a pretty incredible win at that point to come back 15 points in six minutes. We had to manage the tempo up until that point because we can't run like [Oregon] can and we can't play fast like they can play fast. We did that and obviously when we were down in those last 5 minutes, we had to tell them that we had to push it and just go and those last minutes just came together."
"The thing that is most difficult about Oregon's press is that it is very unique and not something you play against very often. We, however, have benefited from our schedule and I think that we were fortunate to play them now because we're a better team against that type of defense then we were a month ago."
"We worked on this game for the past few days and we knew coming into this game how it was going to be. We knew that if we didn't try and slow the game down and play into their pressure, that they were going to come out with a win and not us."
"I didn't think about [tying the game in regulation] at all, I knew that we had four seconds left and when I got the ball I just put it up and prayed that it went in. The shot just felt good coming off and I really didn't think about it, I just knew we needed a three."
On breaking Oregon's press:
"That isn't our speed and we pace our game off of half-court offense. We could have ran if we wanted to, but that is their game and they would have won if we had played at their pace."
"UCLA pressed against us like Oregon did, but we just weren't ready for it at the time, but now we are."
"I think that for us, this was a really good game because I don't think that we have played a game that we were able to come back from that big of a deficit and slowly crawl our way back. I think that after tonight we have seen that we can win in all kinds of ways, which I think is great for us when going into conference and future games."
