SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team returns home on Saturday for the start of a five-game homestand, beginning with Westminster on Dec. 12, AT 7:00 p.m. Live stats and a video feed are available at UtahUtes.com while the game can be heard on KALL 700 AM. Utah has played five of its first eight games of the season on the road. Last time out, the Utes had four players score in double figures as they dropped a heartbreaker to No. 25 Louisville, 60-55. Utah went on an 18-2 tear to close the first half and take a 28-22 lead before the Cardinals regained the lead with six minutes remaining in the contest and pulled ahead for the win.
Wicijowski was named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week for Monday, Dec. 7, averaging 15.0 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game against Weber State, Idaho State and Louisville.
Westminster is 9-4 to begin the season and is ranked 20th in the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Top 25 Poll. Four Westminster players are averaging in double figure scoring, led by 12.3 points by McKenzie Jessop. She is also averaging a team-high 6.7 rebounds per game.
The game is recorded as an exhibition game for Westminster, while the contest will count in the records of the Utes.
