-The coaching staffs for both teams wore sneakers in lieu of dress shoes during the game show their support of the American Cancer Society and the Coaches vs. Cancer® "Suits and Sneakers" awareness weekend.
-Making his first start of the year, junior forward Jay Watkins logged a double-double, scoring a career-high 18 points and pulling down a career-best 11 rebounds. It was his first career double-double and the third by any Ute this year. He also logged his first career blocked shot. **Note - career highs refer to Utah only and are not inclusive of previous schools.
-Senior center David Foster recorded four blocks in the game to bring his season total to 85, extending his Mountain West Conference record for rejections by a sophomore. He has now blocked at least one shot in all 20 of his games this year and has multiple blocks in 18 of them.
-With 85 total blocks this year, Foster is 29 rejections ahead of the pace set by single-season record-holder, Luke Nevill, who had 56 blocks at this time in 2008-09. Nevill finished the year with 92 swatted shots, including the postseason. Foster is on pace for 124 blocks in the regular season alone.
-Freshman guard Marshall Henderson scored 16 points on 5-of-15 from the field and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Henderson has hit double figures in six straight games and 11 total this season.
-Sophomore guard Jace Tavita collected a career-high eight rebounds
-Redshirt freshman center Jason Washburn did not travel with the team due to a stomach virus.
