GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- The University of Utah men's swimming and diving team competed against Mesa State University, Adams State College, and the Air Force Academy at the Mesa State Invitational on Friday.
Bjorn Gunnarsson, Garret Beaman, Andy Lamb, and Brent Murray all helped the Utes take first in the 400 free relay (3:08.00), breaking an El Pomar Natatorium record in the process.
The Ute divers also performed well on day one with Nelson Foo taking first overall, with Brandon Stoppelmoor in second and Caleb Herrick placing fourth.
Tomorrow morning, the Utes will compete in the second day of the Mesa State Invitational in Grand Junction, Colo.
