-Junior center David Foster finished the game with two blocked shots, taking over third place all-time at Utah with 127 rejections, passing Keith Van Horn's 126 from 1994-97. Foster is now chasing Mitch Smith, in second place with 157 blocks, and the career record of 205 held by Luke Nevill.
-Foster has now blocked at least one shot in 30 of his last 31 games over the last two years and has blocked multiple shots in 26 of those contests.
-Junior wing Will Clyburn tied for the game high with 21 points on 5-of-12 from the field and 9-of-11 at the free throw line. He has now logged the game-high offensive output in both of Utah's games this year, including his 14 points in the home opener against Grand Canyon.
-Junior guard Josh Watkins joined Clyburn with 20 points of his own, going 7-of-14 from the field and 5-of-6 from the free throw line. He also led Utah in assists for the second straight game, logging three helpers.
-Senior forward Jay Watkins tied his career high with 18 points on 6-of-11 from the field and 6-of-8 from the free throw line. He also added five rebounds in 28 minutes of action.
-Clyburn, Watkins and Jason Washburn(10) have all scored double digits in each of Utah's first two games.
-Washburn also collected a career-high eight rebounds to lead the Runnin' Utes.
-Junior wing Antonio DiMaria scored his first points as a Ute with a 3-pointer at the 2:45 mark of the first half. He finished the game with seven points after going 4-of-5 at the free throw line.
-Today's game marked the first meeting between Utah and Montana since Dec. 26, 1969. Utah now leads the series 26-6 and has won 12 consecutive contests between the two schools.
- Utah head coach Jim Boylen now owns a record 58-42 for a .580 winning percentage. Boylen's home record now stands at 35-13 (.729). Tonight's game marked Boylen's 100th contest as Utah's head coach.
