Utah Head Coach Jim Boylen
"I am proud of our team. We have talented players. We have a great staff. We executed the game plan well tonight against a very good team. I have a lot of respect for Weber State. Damian Lillard might be the best player we play against all season. We are just thankful to get the win. Our defense, as good as it has been at times, was great. Obviously, I am disappointed in our turnovers. We have to get better every game and I think we are improving. I like the way we have come out of both halves at home this week against two quality teams. We have come out with a lead at the half and pushed the lead. I think that's a sign of a team that's learning and growing."
"Will Clyburn recovered from a slow start and great players do that. He's a guy who is learning and growing to play at this level. He is doing a good job because he has great poise and a great feel of how to play the game. It's good experience for him. Our team was excited to play this game and it's the biggest crowd we've had this year and that helped. Our leadership has been good and we were ready to play." "Every game is big for our guys to learn and grow. We are thankful to be 3-0 and thankful to hold our home court. We have to do a good job on holding our home court and getting better every time we go out. We are trying to do that. I am concerned about our rebounding and turnovers, but those are things we are going to have to work on."
Utah Junior Wing Will Clyburn
"We moved the ball pretty well tonight so [Weber State] kept coming to me and I kept being aggressive and drawing fouls. Getting to the free throw line is going to create momentum in a game. When you aggressively and move the ball quickly, the defense has to do something to stop you."
Utah Senior Forward Jay Watkins
"We played well on defense and were tough and played aggressively. We told Coach Boylen that we were going to come out of the locker room and follow the game plan. It was a great set up by the coaches and the team followed it to a `T'."
"This team is coming together. There is a lot of team chemistry and it has to do a lot with us being together a lot off the court. We hang out as a team and do things off the court as a team and it translates onto the court. We trust each other. We know that if one man gets beat, somebody is going to be there to help. If we make that extra pass, we know that person is going to drive to the basket or make the right decision. There is great team camaraderie this year."
Weber State Head Coach Randy Rahe
"[Utah] did a great job defensively. I will give them all of the credit. They came out and really got after us. They pressured us and were physical. We didn't respond well and they took us out of our rhythm. They took the fight to us."
"[Utah] is a big team and they drive the ball well. That is where they get most their points. They are really difficult to contain in a man-to-man defense because they force you to foul them a lot. We can't commit that many fouls on somebody else's court and have a chance."
