FLUSHING, N.Y.- The duo of junior Anastasia Putilina and sophomore Paige Miles, ranked No. 33, of the University of Utah women's tennis team were upset by Barbora Kritickova and Alida Muller-Wehlau of Armstrong Atlantic State, 8-5, in the quarterfinals of the doubles consolation bracket at the USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships Friday.
"At 4-1 up we had control of this match and then got a little sloppy with our play," said head coach Mat Iandolo. "We have to learn that the best way to maintain a lead is to push to build on it."
The Utes return to action Jan. 15-17, at the University of Virginia Winter Invitational in Charlottesville, Va.
