GOODYEAR, Ariz - The University of Utah men's golf team completed the second day of the 2010 Desert Shootout hosted by the University of Denver. The Utes remain in 15th place after shooting a second-round of 297 adding to their first round of 295 for a total of 592, 16-over par.
Joe Webber continues to lead Utah after a second round of 75 for a two day total of 146, two-over par. Webber is currently tied in 47th place. One stroke behind Webber is Chase Hite tied in 55th place. Hite has a combined score of 147 (73, 74), three-over par.
Kaleb Mahanes is tied in 63rd place at four-over par after duplicating his score from yesterday of 74 for a combined two round total of 148. Derek Adams shot a second round of 78 adding to his first round of 72 for a total score of 150, six-over par tied in 80th place. Rounding out the Utah roster is Mike Branca with a score of 155 (77, 78), 11-over par.
The University of Eastern Michigan leads in the team standings with a two round combined score of 588 (280, 278), 18-under par. Dustin Garza of Wichita State University leads the individuals with a score of 133 (68, 65), 11-under par.
The Desert Shootout will conclude with the final round tomorrow.
