CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- Junior Anastasia Putilina, freshman Sarah Pham and redshirt sophomore Lexi Provancha of the University of Utah women's tennis team won their respective consolation brackets at the University of Virginia's Fall Invitational Sunday.

"I was very proud of how Anastasia, Lexi and Sarah battled back and finished off very strong," said head coach Mat Iandolo.

In singles flight-A, 67th-ranked Putilina took down Virginia Commonwealth's Josefin Hjertquist 6-2, 6-0, to capture the consolation bracket. Pham defeated Catherine Kellner of Marshall 6-7(1), 6-4, 10-6, to win in flight-B. In singles flight-C, Provancha topped Marshall's Maria Voscekova 6-1, 6-1.

All three Utes end the tournament on 3-0 runs, going 3-1 overall.

In singles flight-D, freshman Lauren Keller netted her second-straight win of the weekend by defeating Tori Ford of William & Mary 6-0, 6-1, in consolation round robin play. Keller finishes her weekend with a 2-2 record.

The Utes' next action will be at the ITA All-American Championships Oct. 2-9, in Los Angeles, Calif.
