-Freshman wing J.J. O'Brien logged his second career double-double which included a career-high 18 points and 10 rebounds. He reached double digits in the first half alone with 10 points. O'Brien also knocked down his first career 3-pointer.
-Junior guard Josh "Jiggy" Watkins led the team in scoring with 22 points, going 6-of-12 from the field, 2-of-4 from 3-point ranges and 8-of-10 from the free throw line. He has now scored double digits in 15 games this season, including five straight. He also added two assists and two rebounds. Watkins is averaging 17.4 points per game in conference play.
-Sophomore wing Shawn Glover finished the game with 12 points, including a career-high four made 3-pointers. He came just one point shy of tying his career best mark of 13. He also tied his career high of three assists.
-Junior center David Foster scored a season-high seven points while pulling down eight rebounds and blocking three shots.
-With three blocks in the game, Foster lifted his career blocks total to 176. Currently in second place all-time at Utah, Foster trails only Luke Nevill, who holds the career record with 205 rejections from 2005-09. Foster has now blocked at least one shot in 46 of his last 49 games over the last two years and has blocked multiple shots in 38 of those contests.
-Utah knocked shot 52.6% from 3-point range, knocking down 10-of-19 long-range attempts. It was the first time in MWC play this year that the Utes shot over 50% from beyond the arc.
-Utah finished the game at 50.9% (27-of-53) from the field, shooting over 50% for the second time in conference play.
-Utah played arguably its best first half of the year, recording the most points (45), the most assists (10) and tying for the most 3-pointers (7) in any first half this year.
-Junior wing Will Clyburn finished the game with eight points. It was the first time this year that he came up short of double figures. He also added six rebounds and one assist.
-Utah's 10-point win marked its largest margin of victory against New Mexico since Jan. 4, 2006, when the Utes took down the Lobos by a 64-49 score.
-Utah improved to 79-48 (.619) all-time vs. New Mexico, including a 53-7 (.883) record at home.
-Fourth-year Utah head coach Jim Boylen now owns a 65-52 (.556) career record, including a 28-25 (.528) mark in MWC games.
