"Practice! We've been practicing so hard. It showed on the court."
On the pulling ahead in the second half
"It was just coming out with more energy than in the first half."
"We knew we were going to come out to play hard but we have to play harder."
"We are two of the oldest players on the team, so we came in knowing how hard it would be facing Air Force. We've never had this many subs in one game before but they came in with heart and effort. We just have to match that."
"We have a young team, so any win is a good one. It's all in telling the young'ins that we're going to win some. We are going to lose some, but we'll win more than we'll lose."
"The thing with anybody, any team or group of people, when they do a lot of things right, the confidence will skyrocket. Our confidence goes up with each win."
Interim Head Coach Anthony Levrets
On Janita:
"She is our leader in every way. It got a little chippy out there tonight so I rested her for a second to get her mind in the right place. When she came back out, she was dynamic in that stretch, defensively, offensively, getting other people's shots, getting to the rim. When she's playing like that she is a really good point guard. She's pushing when she should and keeps us in the offense when she should too. That development for her has been really critical."
"I really like our guards. They are really good. Iwa, Janita, Michelle (Harrison), and Rachel (Messer). It's all the things they do together. I believe that with all my heart that Michelle is going to get comfortable and get going. That foursome is a really talented group with a little piece of everything. With Iwa playing as well as she is, she's going to be a complete package in that spot."
"[Air Force is] much improved. I give a lot of credit to Andrea (Williams) and their new staff there. They played incredibly hard. They brought good stuff that fits their players and their personnel. She's done a great job with that program so far this year. In the future, they are going to continue to improve. When we go up to play them next time, it's not going to be easy."
"For us, to be good and to be where we want to be at the end of the season, we have to defend every night. It can't just be one half--it has to be two halves of every game. If we guard the way we can, we'll have a chance to win games. If you defend through the league and make a commitment to it, you'll have a chance at every game you play. If you don't defend, you have no chance."
"It's going to be hard now that we're going on the road. When we get out there we still have to be committed to playing on the defensive end on the floor first."
