ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of Utah golf team sits in 12th after two rounds of the Tucker Invitational Friday on the University of New Mexico Championship Course. The squad earned 12th place after posting a mark of 605 (304-301), while freshman Gentry Hicks led the way for the Utes in individual standings with a score of 149 (75-74) to tie for 29th.
Fellow freshman Brandon Kida was not far behind, swinging a mark of 150 (76-74) to tie for 39th. Freshman Jack Maerki tied for 56th with a score of 152 (76-76), while sophomore Daniel Engle scored a 154 (77-77) to tie for 61st. Junior Joe Webber rounded out the Ute roster, tying for 74th with a score of 156 (77-79).
The Utes return to action for the final round of the Tucker Invitational Saturday at 7 a.m, on the UNM Championship Course. Live stats will be available on golfstat.com.
