Utah Women's Tennis Hosts Invitational This Weekend

SALT LAKE CITY- The University of Utah women's Tennis team will host the 2011 Utah Invitational this weekend, Nov. 4-6, at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center. Tournament play begins Friday (Nov. 4), at 9 a.m. MT with the first round of doubles, followed by the first and second singles rounds.
"We are looking forward to hosting this event," said head coach Mat Iandolo. "It'll be a good way to finish out fall competition. I hope everything goes well as I would like to make this an annual event."
Joining the Utes at the invitational will be Boise State, BYU, LSU, Wyoming, with a few individual players from Idaho State.
While the rest of the Ute squad stays in Salt Lake City, senior Anastasia Putilina and sophomore Callie Craig will head down to the ASU Thunderbird Invitational taking place Nov. 4-6 at the Whiteman Tennis Center in Tempe, Ariz.
