Day One Singles and Doubles Results 
`It was a good day overall for our team," said head coach Mat Iandolo. "We won 10 matches and only lost two. We are looking forward to some great tennis tomorrow."
In singles draw-A play, Pham topped Wyoming's Sasa Nemcova 6-1, 7-6(3) in the quarterfinals after downing Idaho State's Katharina Marsela 6-0, 6-1 in the round of 16. The Ute faces Olivia Howlett of LSU in the semifinals.
Flores defeated Kaitlin Burns of LSU 6-0, 6-4, in the round of 16 before besting Marlena Pietzuch of Boise State in the quarterfinals. The Ute takes on LSU's 52nd-ranked Whitney Wolf in the semifinals.
Freshman Natasha Smith topped Sonia Klamczynska of Boise State 7-5, 6-2, in the round of 16 before falling to LSU's Olivia Howlett 6-2, 6-3, in the quarterfinals.
In singles draw-A consolation play, sophomore Lucia Kovarcikova defeated Sandy Vo of Boise State 6-2, 4-6, 11-9, in the quarterfinals.
In singles draw-B play, Watson topped Boise State's Manuela Pietzuch 6-3, 7-5 in the quarterfinals after defeating Idaho State's Laura Severino 6-3, 6-3. The Ute faces Desiree Tran of BYU in the semifinals.
In doubles play, the tandem of Pham and Kovarcikova topped Idaho State's Marsela and Laura Porras 8-3 in the round of 16 and will face Wyoming's Nemcova and Alexandra Kovacs in the quarterfinals.
The duo of Smith and Flores downed Marian Tangarife and Severino of Idaho State 8-3 in the round of 16 and will take on Christa Gecheva and Alma Espinosa of Wyoming in the quarterfinals.
In other women's tennis action, of senior Anastasia Putilina and sophomore Callie Craig notched a 9-7 win over Ohio State's Kelsey Haviland and Kara Cecil in the doubles round of 16 at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational in Tempe, Ariz. The Ute duo faces Tayler Davis and Cecilia Estlander of California in the quarterfinals.
In singles play, Putilina defeated Michigan's Mimi Nguyen 5-7, 6-1, 4-1 ret. in the round of 32 before falling to No. 5-8-seeded Annie Goransson of California 6-4, 6-3, in the round of 16.
