PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - The University of Utah women's tennis team was represented by junior Sarah Pham Tuesday in the qualifying draw of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships. Pham clinched a victory for the Utes in the first round, but was unable to capture another in the second round.
Pham first took on Florida's Olivia Janowicz in the first round, netting a 1-6, 6-4, 7-6(7) victory. She then advanced to the second round, where she dropped a 6-2, 7-5 decision to UCLA's Pamela Montez.
Utah returns to action for the University of Georgia Invitational in Athens, Ga., Oct. 12-14.
