O'AHU, Hawaii - The University of Utah men's golf team improved to 15th Thursday at the John Burns Intercollegiate on Turtle Beach Resort's Arnold Palmer Course. The Utes posted a score of 302 during the second-round for an overall mark of 607. Freshman Gentry Hicks continued to lead in individual standings, posting identical first and second rounds of 74 to tally a score of 148 and tie for 49th.
Fellow freshman Brandon Kida also improved, tying for 63rd with a second-round mark of 75 and an overall score of 151. Junior Joe Webber and freshman Myles Sullivan posted a second-round marks of 78 and 75, respectively, to tie for 78th with overall scores of 154. Sophomore Daniel Engle round out the Ute roster, placing 98th with identical marks of 81 for an overall score of 162.
The Utes return for the final round of the John Burns Intercollegiate Friday at 7:30 a.m. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
