O'AHU, Hawaii - The University of Utah men's golf team completed the John Burns Intercollegiate Friday at the Turtle Bay Resort's Arnold Palmer course. The squad placed 17th with a final score of 921 (305-302-314), while freshman Gentry Hicks led the Utes in individual standings, tying for 54th with a mark of 227 (74-74-79).
Freshman Brandon Kida tied for 71st with a final score of 230 (76-75-79), while junior Joe Webber posted a mark of 235 (76-78-81) to tie for 86th. Sophomore Daniel Engle tied for 90th with a score of 237 (81-81-75). Freshman Myles Sullivan completed the Ute lineup, swinging a 240 (79-75-86) to tie for 96th.
The Utes tee off next at the Morris Williams Invitational, March 16-17, in Austin, Texas.
