AUSTIN, Texas - The University of Utah men's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Morris Williams Intercollegiate Friday at the University of Texas Golf Club. The Utes tallied a mark of 625 (305-320), to place 12th, while sophomore Daniel Engle led the squad in individual standings, tying for 57th with a two-round mark of 154 (75-79).
Sophomore Ben Bankhead and freshman Jack Maerki were next to finish on Utah's lineup, tying for 65th with identical score of 158 (76-82). Junior Joe Webber and freshman Gentry Hicks also posted identical scores of 159 (78-81), (81-78), respectively, to tie for 68th.
The Utes return to the 7,412 yard, par-71 University of Texas Golf Club Saturday for the final 18-holes of play. Live scoring of the Morris Williams Intercollegiate will be available at golfstat.com.
